Best Lightweight Single Stroller

This is the lightest and smallest stroller that you can buy. Its sleek design makes it easy to fold into a neat rectangular shape and the wheels rotate more easily than some other models.

The stroller also comes with an enormous storage area underneath the seat and a shoulder strap that makes it easier to transport when you're not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be a bit noisy, which could disturb the sleep of a child.

1. Contours Itsy

A compact stroller that is also a compact stroller, the Contours Itsy offers lots of features for its tiny size. The back basket under the seat is spring loaded, so you can push it down to store bags for diapers or backpacks in and it will pop up to keep the contents. It also comes with a child accessory tray and adjustable backrest pad for the seat that offer more options than you typically get on a stroller that is light.

Additionally, it comes with a great canopy that can be opened and close to provide the sun-protection you require. It is compact and folds down in one step. It is able to be collapsed by pressing an appropriate button. It also has a convenient brake that is triggered by the foot and easy to set and release.

The handle is lower than most strollers we've tested and some parents may find it uncomfortable to use for extended periods. It does come with a handle lock to keep it in place while open however. This is an excellent feature to have in case you are going to be using the stroller over uneven or gravelly terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the ideal travel stroller for parents who are constantly moving. The stroller is compact and folds down and up easily and fits into the overhead compartments of planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to worry about parking charges). It also comes with an easy-zip bag for storage that is easy to carry. It can be used with the infant car adapter from birth and offers good sun protection by utilizing its canopy. The only downside for parents who have children is that they consider the look cheap single buggy and utilitarian.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ is a bit more expensive than the other lightweight single strollers, but it was designed specifically for luxe urban living and travel. It's one of the easiest strollers to fold and comes with a convenient carry case. It's got plenty of storage space as well as a cupholder. The seat reclines almost flat for both the child and adult. This is the only stroller on our list with a car seat adapter to allow it to be used with babies. The handlebar is not adjustable and could be a problem for some parents who are small.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 may not be the lightest stroller, but it comes with a number of amazing features that assist parents in traveling with their children. The large seat reclines to a flat position, and has additional padding to make those airplane naps last longer. The extendable canopy has plenty of sun-shade and the tray that is on the back provides plenty of storage. It also has an adjustable footrest that can double as a handle when it's folded. This footrest, however is prone to damage by baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Minu V2

The Uppababy Minu V2 is a high-end stroller that isn't compromising on design or quality. Its compact size allows it to easily navigate narrow streets and tight spaces, but its robust construction ensures it can handle rough terrain without compromising your child's comfort. The spring-action suspension in the front and back makes for an even more comfortable ride and its sturdy materials ensure that it will withstand everyday wear and tear. Furthermore it can be enlarged to accommodate additional accessories like an infant car seat.

In our tests in our tests, the Minu was easy to maneuver and fold even with a baby in its hand. Its squat fold that splits into three parts was among the most simple we tried. This makes it possible to easily fit into overhead compartments in planes and public transport. It also has an automated brake with a color coded single-action that's simple to use.

This stroller is packed with features and comes at a very affordable price. It scored higher in our maneuverability test than other models with similar specifications. It's also a great choice for smooth surfaces. It comes with a large parent tray, canopy and plenty of storage. The handlebar is smaller than average and the front wheel suspension is a bit stiffer however it's suitable for adults.

If you have twins or two children of different ages you may consider a side-by-side stroller is the best way to transport them. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which offers plenty of features and a small footprint that fits in places that other side-by-side alternatives can't.

It features reclining seats that are individually adjustable, a large canopy with an open window, and plenty of storage. It's heavier than some other side-by-sides but it has a good weight capacity and can accommodate most children up to 50 pounds. It is possible to add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller for newborns.

If you want an even more luxurious version of this stroller the Caboose Sit and Stand Stroller is an excellent alternative. It has the same great features and can be fitted out with a bassinet so that you can bring your baby home in style from the hospital.
